Gabriel R Henriquez and Alberto Lajara where just chillin in front of Jadakiss's apartment in Yonkers, New York. But their car stank so bad of Marijuana that cops driving by stopped to take a look. Henriquez wasnt having it so he tried to duck the cops. It was a short persuit and when both men were arrested, their residents came up the same as Jadakiss, who is the person on the lease.
The search came with full of results, 6 pounds of marijuana, 5 grams of heroine, and $42,000 in cash. For his part Henriquez is charged with third degree criminal possesion of a controlled substance and second degree assault and second degree possession of marijuana. Aside from those felonies Henriquez is also charged with obstruction of governmental administration a misdemeanor (explained here).
Jadakiss on tour currently released this statement
"What happened on Saturday was an unfortunate situation but one in which I have no involvement in. Since the release of my recent album The Last Kiss, I have been on the road touring and promoting my project. I am focused on my performance schedule and career."
It'll be interesting to see if the two suspects turn on Jada who at this point the police say is not wanted for questioning or is a suspect. But New York's harsh drug penalties may push the two into sweeting their deals. Just have to wait and see how loyal Jada's crew is to him, since these two cats probably dont have the means in rollin large like they were.
